Excuse the dumb duck face, but I really liked my makeup yesterday. 100% of it is NYX! I went on a NYX buying spree at Ulta the other day, and finally bought the HD Foundation, and it works great! Definitely compares to Makeup For Ever’s HD foundation. For anyone looking for a great brand of professional, quality make up, that’s about 1/2 the cost of department store brands, try NYX!
Edit: The eyelashes are not NYX, they’re Eylure Katy Perry lashes in “Oh My!” They’re the best lashes I’ve worn thus far!

I did mine as well. When I took these pictures I didn’t realize I had a little fuzz ball on my eyelashes!

I did my pretty little baby sister’s makeup for a NYE party. She’s only 16, so I try to keep it light. She’s a cutie:)

I don’t mean to innundate everyone with pictures of myself (I hate hate hate my facial expressions) but I just need to play catch up on a few makeup looks from over the past couple weeks. Also, I’m so white that flash always makes me look even whiter. If anyone has a solution for this, besides getting a tan, help would be appreciated.

Nude Vs NAKED

I am always using different techniques and products when it comes to makeup. Sometimes I think I’ve found the perfect shade of blush that I will use forever, then all of a sudden I find myself in Sephora and I see another even more perfect shade. That’s what happened to me with Urban Decay’s Naked palette, and NYX’s Nude on Nude palette.

When I first discovered the Naked palette, I didn’t think an eyeshadow collection could get any better. There are twelve beautiful shades that can be used for any occasion, all have great color payoff, and have endless creative possibilities without being too over the top. When it was first put on shelves it was sold out immediately, and I went to Ulta and Sephora, as well as checked the internet on a daily basis to see if it was back in stock. One day while I was in Ulta trying to stalk down a Naked palette, something else wonderful caught my eye. It was the Nude on Nude palette from NYX, and it was like an answer to my prayers, but better.

The Nude palette is an obvious duplicate of Naked, but NYX tweaked it to make it their own and, in my opinion, even better than the Urban Decay original. Nude has 20 amazing shades for the eyes from black to white and every neutral shade in between, and a decent mix of matte and shimmer colors. There’s also a 10 color lip palette in the Nude collection as an added bonus!

I have both palettes, but I mostly find myself reach for Nude. I usually only wear Naked if I’m going to an event where there will be beauty professionals, so if I’m asked what brand of make-up I’m wearing, I can say Urban Decay without lying… hehe. The only thing that comes second place to Naked is the less-than-elegant and easily breakable packaging of Nude, but I don’t buy my makeup for the packaging so I’m not bothered by it. I just love the variety in this palette, and I wear something from Nude every day whether it’s lip color, highlight, or the dark brown that is the perfect color to fill in my brows.

Even though I prefer Nude on Nude, I’m really excited to try the NAKED2 palette! Let’s see how long it will take to restock since it’s already sold out…
